I've been living in Indianapolis for 10 years, where I am the proud father of three beautiful children. Working with and providing services to our youth is my passion. I am a Youth Development Professional, serving in MSD Lawrence Township as a Student Support Counselor, a coach, and a mentor.
I am the son of legendary coach Al Gooden, and I've been learning, playing, and coaching basketball all my life. I played at Paul Harding High School, where I competed in two state championship games (won one, lost one, so I've felt it all!). There, I earned first-team All-S.A.C two times and first-team All-Area one time.
I went on to play collegiately at Danville Area Community College and Taylor University–Ft. Wayne. At Taylor, I helped lead the Falcone to a second-place finish in the National Championships, earning first-team All-American honors in the process.
I began my journey as a coach in 2013 on the AAU circuit. From there, I worked my way up to my current position as freshmen head coach on the Lawrence Central High School boys basketball coaching staff.
Now, at Team F.E.E.D., I serve as president and head coach of F.E.E.D. '26.
